What was it???

No wonder the dogs kept running off. They were snacking on this little bugger.

Fiddleheads

Fiddleheads.. A Maine delicacy

Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse located on the Southern Maine Community College campus. The fog rolled as soon as we arrived. I will be sure to post a picture of the lighthouse on a clear blue day. The lighthouse is really cool and the rock path is so fun to run down. It was so funny to watch Grace (the corgi) maneuver the rocks. She would get going so fast and then put the brakes on when she thought a few of the rocks were too far apart to make the jump.
I wish I could have gotten a good picture of this giant barge that was coming in as the fog got thicker. It was huge but you could barely see it through the fog. It looked like a ghost ship and it was so close it seemed like you could just reach out and touch it.

Fort Williams

Between 1899 and 1963, Fort Williams guarded the entrance to Portland Harbor. Today, the Fort is a decommissioned military base that has been converted into a beautifully maintained town park.

My place of employment

In downtown Portland there is a path that allows you to walk about 4 miles around the back bay. Its called the boulevard. Very pretty view of the city.

Maine Medical Center sits at the top of the hill and can be seen from just about everywhere in Portland.
